The RHC ETIP Annual Conference 2024

“How to fully decarbonise the heating and cooling sector in Europe?”
10 April 2024 in Graz
Location: Messecongress Graz Austria, Hall 4

The ETIP RHC Annual Conference 2024

The European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC-ETIP) brings together stakeholders from the biomass, geothermal, solar thermal, heat pump, district heating and cooling, and thermal storage sectors to define a common strategy for increasing the use of renewable energy technologies for heating and cooling and phasing out fossil fuels.

This year, the 100% RHC event is taking place within the framework of the ISEC conference.

In this 90-minute session, information about RHC-ETIP and insights from the platform's horizontal working groups will be shared focusing on coupling of heating and power sectors, innovative concepts in districts and cities, solutions for individual buildings and the decarbonization of heat demand in industries, featuring experts in the respective fields. The session will also include an engaging panel discussion “How to fully decarbonize the heating and cooling sector in Europe?”, with experts from research, industry, and policy, who will share their insights and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for a sustainable heating and cooling sector in Europe, and highlight approaches for increasing energy efficiency, deployment and integration of more RHC, and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration to decarbonize heating and cooling in the EU.

RE4Industry Workshop: Bioenergy Solutions for Decarbonization of Energy Intensive Industries

Tuesday 6 June 2023 | 09:00-11:00 CEST
Location: The Bologna Congress Center

RE4Industry Workshop: Bioenergy Solutions for Decarbonization of Energy Intensive Industries

RE4Industry project aims to help the energy intensive industry (EII) sector in Europe transition smoothly and securely to renewable energies (RE) in their production processes and facilities.

“Bioenergy Solutions for decarbonization of Energy Intensive Industries” workshop is organized by WIP in the framework of the project RE4Industry (https://re4industry.eu/) supported by the European Commission within Horizon 2020.

The workshop is targeted towards public affairs representatives of EII, representatives of bioenergy and other renewable technology providers, and policy makers. The session will be highly interactive to enable participants to discuss innovative projects and solutions. Policy makers will explain the instruments in place or under discussion to make the energy transition a reality. Hosted by EUBCE, the workshop is intended to maximize networking opportunities.

During the workshop, attendees will learn about the results of the RE4Industry project, with a focus on an overview of EU EIIs, their emissions, decarbonization targets, and success cases of companies that have successfully adapted bioenergy solutions.
