ETIP PV

The ETIP PV Conference “Solar PV Big & Beyond” will take place on 19 – 20 May 2021 from 2 pm – 5:30 pm CEST.

The Annual Conference of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics will discuss the challenges of delivering the 2030 climate targets to Europe, that were proposed by the European Commission as part of the European Green Deal. They consist of raising the 2030 greenhouse gas emission reduction target, including emissions and removals, to at least 55% compared to 1990. ETIP PV supports all activities and steps to be taken to make Europe a leader in green energy and to build an independent, clean energy supply.

Join the free event and follow four inspiring sessions with a series of live panel discussions. Find more information about the conference and the registration at http://etip-pv-conference.eu/ and watch the ETIP PV conference video.

Upgrade DH

UpgradeDH recommendations to support national District Heating & Cooling Action Plans

The Upgrade DH project supports the upgrading and retrofitting of district heating (DH) systems in different climate regions of Europe, covering various countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denmark, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and The Netherlands. One of the core activities in the project is the development of national action plans for the retrofitting of inefficient district heating networks in the mentioned target countries, including the results of the retrofitting approaches. This work has now been finalised and the recommendations have been published on the UpgradeDH website. The DHC plans include an overview of the current policy framework relevant for DHC development, market analysis and challenges, as well as proposed solutions.

Read the full reports here or contact UpgradeDH partners for more information in national languages.

The webinars are taking place in the framework of the the www.eugreenweek.eu

TwinPeaks

The TWIN-PEAKS project originates on the plan of Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI) and Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) to establish an association to foster the uptake of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) research and innovation in Lithuania and engage the country in pan-European collaborative efforts on this topic. To ensure its success, both institutions need to increase their research excellence in the topic of WtE and develop international networks.

It is based on the development of a joint-research strategy between the partners, the pooling of their research infrastructure, the transfer of scientific knowledge and know-how on WtE research and innovation, the building of academic and non-academic networks, the outreach to end-users of WtE solutions, and a plan for joint-applications for research grants to fund further research projects involving the consortium.

You can find all information about the project on the new website: www.twinpeaks-h2020.eu

REPLACE

WIP, supported by the partners of the REPLACE project, has recently published the report “Renewable Heating & Cooling replacement technology briefs for end-consumers”, which provides a practical guide to end-users who are considering replacing their heating system or undertaking an energy efficiency measure in their home.

The report gives useful information on the economic, environmental and social benefits of innovative low-carbon and renewable heating systems; it advises on the steps that every informed consumer should take before and during the replacement process and answers the most common questions that end-users ask in this context.

Finally, the report presents a comprehensive list of the renewable heating and cooling technologies currently available on the European market through concise and illustrated technology factsheets.

The report is available in English, German and in seven other languages.

Dibicoo

The Dibicoo Project (Digital Global Biogas Cooperation) is organising the next B2B Matchmaking Event on Biogas Cooperation on 8 June 2021.

The virtual event will facilitate networking and project opportunities between European and Argentinian, Ethiopian, Ghanaian, Indonesian and South African biogas stakeholders and raise awareness on the one hand about promising biogas markets and on the other hand about biogas technologies.
