Rewatch the recording of the REPLACE workshop on decarbonisation of residential H&C in EuropeAs part of the 2022 edition of the World Sustainable Energy Days
(WSED 2022), the REPLACE project partners organised the workshop
“Towards Renewable Heating & Cooling: Replacement of Inefficient
Systems in the Residential Sector” , which took place on 08/04 and was
an excellent opportunity to exchange with participants about renewable
heating and cooling in the residential sector.
The workshop introduced the project REPLACE with its aims, tools and
actions, it gave an overview of the decarbonisation of the heating and
cooling sector in Europe, and looked at the main challenges and drivers,
as well as to possible solutions and recommendations, to successfully
switch to climate-friendly technologies at home. The workshop also
included an animated roundtable discussion on how the phase-out of
fossil-based heating systems can be brought forward in the European
agenda, and concretely in the countries of South-East and Central
Europe.
