 RHC-ETIP - A new boost for Renewable Heating and Cooling The European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating & Cooling ( RHC-ETIP)
brings together stakeholders from the different renewable energy
sectors to promote the use of renewable energy technologies for heating
and cooling and to support the phasing out of fossil fuels. Now,
ETIP-RHC got a new boost, as the maintenance of the platform’s
secretariat is secured by the launch of a new contract with the European
Commission and with experts from WIP Renewable Energies joining the
consortium of the three years project.

 TRACER – Investor’s workshop and final conferenceCoal regions from across Europe present policy solutions and project ideas to drive a clean and just transition. The Horizon 2020 TRACER project
gathered 15 partners for an investor’s workshop on the final conference
in September, where prospective ideas for regeneration in each of the 9
TRACER coal regions were awarded, the results of the project were
introduced and important outcomes were emphasized in the panel
discussions.

 Renewal of ETIP PV Secretariat & ChairsThe European Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP)
is pleased to announce the relaunch of the ETIP PV project to support
the solar PV sector’s contribution to the European Union Strategic
Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan). The project is operated through a
Secretariat of SolarPower Europe in Brussels, Belgium and WIP Renewable
Energies in Munich, Germany and will run from 2022-2025. ETIP PV was
also present at the 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy
Conversion (WCPEC-8) in Milan.
On 10 October 2022, an ETIP PV Steering Committee meeting took place
online and in Brussels to elect the new chairs. With 25 voters, the ETIP
PV consortium elected the new Chair Rutger Schlatmann, as well as two
Vice-Chairs David Moser and Jutta Trube.

 RE4Industry consortium is in Greece!The RE4Industry General Assembly
took place in beautiful Arachova, Greece, from 20 - 22 of September. In
addition to discussing project progress and next steps, the success
case Milaki Cement Plant and the project consortium partner Mytilineos
were visited on site. In September, the RE4Industry project was
presented at the WCPEC-8 and held various dissemination activities.

On 24th October a webinar is organised by WIP Rewewable Enegies on sustainable syngas production
for the German and European glass industries. A number of experts on
different gasification technologies, as well as the glass industry
representatives and feedstock suppliers, present the ways to produce
sustainable Syngas and discuss how to decarbonize the glass industry on
local and European levels.

 AgroFossilFree: 2nd Transnational Innovation Workshop held successfully in Warsaw, PolandOn
23rd September 2022, a one-day workshop discussing about
fossil-energy-free technologies and strategies in open-field agriculture
was organised in Warsaw, Poland. During the event, the AgEnergy Platform
developed by the AgroFossilFree project was presented. Take a look and

A big thank you to the Polish partners for the great organisation and
to all partners who brought very interesting stakeholders to the
workshop!

In addition, the AgroFossilFree project’s results and proceedings were
proudly presented during a WCPEC-8 visual session. The project's poster
drew the attention of conference attendees, who were informed about the
project's purpose, ongoing activities and outcomes.

 SCALE-UP: Kick-off meeting in Seville, SpainThe kick-off meeting of the SCALE-UP project, in which the consortium consists of 9 European entities, took place in Seville, Spain on September 14-15, 2022.
The SCALE-UP (upcoming website: www.scaleup-bioeconomy.eu)
project facilitates knowledge exchange and capacity building for
sustainable rural development by assisting regional stakeholders
(farmers, companies, associations, entrepreneurs, researchers and public
administration) in identifying and developing innovative
bioeconomy-based business models.
In six European pilot regions (Northern Sweden, Mazovia, Pays de la Loire, Upper Austria, Strumica and Andalusia), the SCALE-UP project will implement various activities to help regional stakeholders in utilizing the bioeconomy’s potential. These regions have the potential to develop the bioeconomy based on the abundant available and sustainable biomass resources.

 HYPOSO: A very busy summer in Latin America, Bolivia, Ecuador, ColombiaThe HYPOSO project partners can look back to a very busy summer in Latin America. In July and August, a capacity building course as well as Workshops on the Framework Conditions for Small Hydropower, dedicated at political deciders and young engineers, were organised in Bolivia and Ecuador. In all three Latin American HYPOSO target countries, including Colombia,
site visits to nine different sites were carried out to assess
potential hydropower sites that shall be exploited together with
European hydro stakeholders. Furthermore, at the beginning of August,
four project partners presented HYPOSO at an interesting conference in
Medellín, Colombia.

 SUPERPV: Final project phaseThe SUPERPV project reaches its final phase at the end of October 2022. As one of the final activities and on the occasion of the WCPEC-8
the project coordinator, participated in the parallel event "EU Funded
Projects Helping to Raise the Competitiveness of the EU PV Industry"
jointly organized with other EU projects, presenting SUPER PV and its
main achievements.

In addition, SUPERPV participated in the WCPEC-8 exhibition showing samples of the innovations developed during the project.

 BIPVBOOST: Visit our 4 demo sitesThe BIPVBoost project
is at the forefront of integrating BIPV technologies in European cities
and reached an important milestone by implementing four demonstration
cases. It is now possible to see the installation process in our demo

Additionally,
on the occasion of the WCPEC-8, BIPVBOOST participated in the EU PVSEC –
Parallel Event, “Results from EU Research and Innovation to Further
Drive the Energy Transition World- wide”, organised by CINEA and DG RTD
(European Commission) were the main achievements of the project have
been presented.

 WCPEC-8 streaming on demandThe 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion was a great success, welcoming more than 1500 participants from 60 countries and covering over 1100 presentations,
consisting of Scientific Sessions, engaging Panel Discussions, in-depth
Parallel Events and market related Industry Presentations. The halls of
the MiCo convention centre were bursting with positive energy and
optimism and a growing exhibition attracted PV professionals to exchange
with industry companies and research institutions alike.
More participants are joining daily, making use of the WCPEC-8 Online Platform where the content is available for two more months. All registered participants have access to this platform.
