 | ETIP PV Elects New Chairs and Prepares for Horizon Europe PartnershipRecently,
ETIP PV gathered in Munich to elect new Chairs. Rutger Schlatmann (HZB
Berlin) was elected as the ETIP PV Chair, supported by David Moser
(Eurac Research) and Nora Adam (BayWa r.e. Solar), who were elected as
Vice-Chairpersons of the ETIP PV Steering Committee. In addition, the
steering Committee reorganised the working groups, with the updated
structure now available on the website .

ETIP PV is currently preparing for the establishment of the
co-programmed Partnership with the European Commission. The work started
within the different working groups to identify priority topics in the
upcoming Horizon Europe calls. The discussions at ETIP PV Parallel
Events at the EUPVSEC 2024 will serve as a foundation for these efforts.Keep informed about the elections results and other news on the website etip-pv.eu |
 | 1st SUPREMAS General Assembly: Advancing Modular Syngas SolutionsThe
1st SUPREMAS General Assembly took place in Rieti (Italy) on 29th and
30th October. During the General Assembly, the SUPREMAS partners shared
the main project advancements to define the next steps for a successful
project continuation. The partners had the opportunity to visit the
RESET’s facilities and two gasification plants for syngas
production. SUPREMAS is a project co-financed by the European Union with
the aim of developing cost-effective modular and movable syngas
production units, particularly suitable to treat sewage sludge,
digestate, and the organic fraction of municipal solid waste.

 | iAMP-Hydro at HYDRO 2024: Driving Digital Solutions for Hydropower| | From
18 to 20 November, the Austrian city of Graz became the unofficial
Capital of Hydropower as the renowned conference HYDRO 2024 was held
there. The iAMP-Hydro project had the honour of chairing a full session
in Graz: Session 17: Digital solutions for operation and maintenance of existing hydropower.
Almost 100 interested conference delegates participated in the session,
gaining insights into three sister projects working in parallel on this
issue: D-HYDROFLEX, Di-Hydro, and iAMP-Hydro.
 |
 The
presentations covered a wide range of topics, including predictive
maintenance, the application of computational fluid dynamics in
digitalisation, the development of a flow and available power prediction
and forecasting model, digital twins and decision support systems for
enhanced hydro plant O&M, and hybridisation modelling
(power-to-hydrogen).
WIP’s Ingo Ball organised and co-chaired the session alongside Ewa Malicka from the Polish Small Hydropower Association.
