just three hours, participants learned how to interpret Horizon Europe
calls, design impactful projects and avoid common pitfalls. The
interactive format ensured individual attention, and all participants

Scaling Up Building Renovation: BREEZE Project Launched
The EU-funded BREEZE Project has officially started! Partners from seven
countries are joining forces to scale up building renovation strategies
through better data, open tools, and innovative methods. From
harmonising building stock data to assessing solar PV potential and
supporting member states with technical assistance, BREEZE aims to pave
the way for more efficient and resilient building stock in Europe.

The WIP team has just returned from Bilbao, where we organised the 42nd
European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition. More than
1,800 participants joined to exchange knowledge and insights across
1,200+ scientific and industry presentations, a vibrant exhibition, and
numerous parallel events.
The EU PVSEC once again confirmed its role as the leading platform for
photovoltaics, showcasing breakthroughs in research, debates on global
market dynamics and valuable opportunities for networking.

 Outcomes of the Latest IWG5 Study Tour
The third IWG5 Buildings Study Tour took place on 1 July 2025, in
Paterna – Valencia (Spain), hosted at the innovative Imagine Montessori
School. Participants explored the school’s sustainable design, including
eco-friendly materials, natural light and ventilation,
circadian-adapted LED lighting and integrated green features such as
rainwater collection, solar PV and a planted roof.
