kicked off 2026 last week with a focused training on Financial
Management, marking the start of a new learning cycle for professionals
navigating EU-funded projects.
More practical trainings are already lined up, covering:
- Horizon Europe Proposal Writing (4 February)
- Project Management (10 March)
- Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation (17 March)
- Financial Management for projects (26 March 2026)
Designed
to be hands-on and experience-driven, the trainings support

 | Be Part of the EU PVSEC 2026
The largest event organised by WIP Renewable Energies, the EU PVSEC, will travel to Rotterdam, the Netherlands, this September.
Those wishing to be part of this world-class event are encouraged to act now. The Call for Papers is currently open, with researchers invited to submit their abstracts by 2 February to be considered for the official conference programme.
At the same time, the exhibition is offering an Early Bird discount of 10% on exhibition space, available until 31 January.
We therefore warmly invite companies interested in exhibiting, as well
as researchers working on latest-breaking research, to take advantage of
these deadlines and join the EU PVSEC 2026 in Rotterdam.

 | Three New Modelling Approaches for Cost-Efficient Hydropower
Early detection of cavitation is essential to improve reliability and
reduce costs in hydropower systems. Robust fluid-dynamic modelling plays
a key role in the design and operation of modern hydro equipment.
|
“Computational
Fluid Dynamics Modelling”, “Supervised Machine Learning Techniques”,
and “The Development of a Cavitation Indicator for Predicting Failure in
Pump-as-Rurbines Using Numerical Simulation” are the focus of three
peer-reviewed articles published by iAMP-Hydro partners from Trinity College Dublin.
The studies show how digital methods support condition monitoring and more reliable hydropower operation.
