New publication on optimal pathways for biomethane and bioethanol in Europe

WIP contributed to a new briefing for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) of the European Parliament exploring how biomethane and bioethanol can reinforce Europe’s energy security and accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels.

The study maps where these fuels are produced, how they are used, and which policy frameworks best support their uptake. By comparing established and emerging production pathways, it highlights opportunities to scale up sustainable, domestically sourced renewable gases and liquid biofuels.

The publication identifies conditions needed for stable, long-term deployment across the EU, its Member States and the UK.

Be Part of the EU PVSEC in Rotterdam

The European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition has reached its first milestone with the closure of abstract submissions.

If you missed the deadline, there is still an opportunity to contribute. Late-breaking research can be submitted and, following evaluation, included in the official conference programme.

For industry-focused organisations, several participation options remain available. Join the B2B Exhibition alongside leading solar companies from across Europe and beyond, organise a Parallel Event dedicated to a specific PV topic, or contribute to the Industry Summit addressing key market and policy developments.

There are many ways to engage with the European PV community. Be part of it in Rotterdam.
