WIP was partner of the Investire network which reviewed and assessed existing storage technologies in the context of renewable energy applications to facilitate exchange of information between the main actors and to propose appropriate actions for the future.

Nine technologies were addressed in the project that are lead-acid, nickel and lithium batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, flywheels, redox batteries, compressed air and metal-air systems.
