5MW Wind Energy Converter for Off-Shore Application

An international consortium coordinated by WIP developed a 5 MW off-shore wind generator for pilot operation.

This involved the development of the actual hardware, the installation and operation of the WEC prototype and the verification of its performance in an extended pilot operation with the aim to prepare basic development for further industrial exploitation.
