Web-based Biofuel Marketplace for supporting the e-Commerce of Biofuel Products and Technologies

The BIOFUEL MARKETPLACE project created a web-based information portal for biofuels in order to provide a forum where Europe's biofuel stakeholders can promote their technologies, exchange ideas, disseminate results of national, international and European research activities and raise awareness of the public and professional community.

The BIOFUEL MARKETPLACE project delivered a matrix of multi-disciplinary work-packages:

• to establish a web-based information portal for biofuels
• to involve industrial and political stakeholders, decision-makers and multipliers in Europe
• to give an overview of European projects covering the strategic and management aspects of biofuel market development
• to review the technical development of biofuels and related technologies
• to determine barriers and economics of biofuels
• to disseminate and promote the use of biofuels in Europe
