The Worlds Largest Double Concentration PV System – PV Electricity for Southern Europe at Lowest Costs

Duration: 2003 – 2007 ● Client: European Commission (FP5) ● WIP Role: Research and Innovation

The worlds largest double concentration PV plant with a capacity of 1,2 MWp was installed by a consortium of nine partners in Southern Spain, close to Sevilla.

Aim of this project was to set the basis for a significant cost reduction in the generation of PV energy. WIP was responsible for part of the scientific tasks in this project, namely for technical monitoring tasks and for power output verification.
